I’m a great believer in Steve Jobs’ words - “the only way to do great work is to love what you do”. I’ve been extremely fortunate. My career has spanned two industries that have given me every opportunity to love what I do on a daily basis – banking and real estate.
After returning to Dunedin in 1997, from a Wellington head office role in banking, I bought my first home through Edinburgh. I instantly connected with the Edinburgh brand – locally-owned, client-centric and visionary. Seeking ways to add value to client relationships has always been the Edinburgh way. When presented with the opportunity to join the team, I gladly jumped at the chance. It was during this initial 13+ year stint, that I established Edinburgh’s very successful Property Management business.
In 2012, I was given the opportunity to return to banking. I was managing a large CBD retail branch here in Dunedin when the Edinburgh Directors saw an opportunity to further expand, to cater to the ever-growing short-term accommodation market.
So, here I am – back at home with Edinburgh. I’m delighted to be responsible for the establishment and ongoing management of Edinburgh Short Stays. And I truly love what I do! Not only do I have the opportunity to open new doors for our investment property owners, I also have the chance to create memorable experiences for visitors to our region.
For me, communication is key and people are my highest priority. The needs of our property owners and guests are at the forefront of everything I do. I’m so proud of the quality service we offer to the short stays market.
