What’s on this November in Otago

Get out and about this November for some marvellous markets and music, memorable nights with your mates and a weekend of fabulous home inspiration.

This weekend head along to the Home and Leisure Show at the Forsyth Barr Stadium. Browse the exhibits, enjoy food and family entertainment, and soak up inspo and info for your new-home build, renovation and interior design plans.  

On Thursday 17 November, celebrate iconic women in country music with award-winning artist Tami Neilson in her live show, Kingmaker, at the Regent Theatre. From country to comedy, have a beer and a laugh with Jamie Bowen, one of New Zealand’s top stand-ups, performing the following evening, Friday 18 November, at the Dog with Two Tails.

On Saturday 19 November, get your Green Island Market Day groove on at Main South Road. Celebrate the completion of the roading upgrades with live entertainment, catch up with friends and browse and shop the more than 90 food trucks and market stalls.

For a night out with a difference, get your tickets for Gin & the Collection on 23 November at the Otago Museum. Taste award-winning boutique gins with canapés and music, before taking a very special, behind-the-scenes basement tour of the Museum’s collections.

Round off November with a head-start on your chrissy shopping at the Christmas Artisan Market on the weekend of 26-27 November at the Edgar Centre. With more than 160 stalls from Otago and the South Island, you’re bound to find something unique and amazing.
