As a problem solver, I appreciate the juggling act of working as go-between for the needs of tenants and owners. Being able to always listen with empathy and to think outside the box is important for coming up with a suitable compromise that keeps everyone satisfied.
Before property management, I taught English as a Second Language (ESL) for 20 years in Taiwan, and published ESL materials for young people. Last year I was Logistics and Supplies Manager at the Electoral Commission for the 2020 election, and also worked on the support staff for Covid-19 contact tracing.
I enjoy dealing with people of all backgrounds, preferring the personal touch of meeting in person rather than via email or text. The best part of my work is the team atmosphere in the Edinburgh office. Everyone is on the same page and working towards the same goal - continuing to be the best property management team in Dunedin.
Away from work, I’m a keen middle distance runner and cyclist, a member of the Otago classic Volkswagen club, and actively involved in my son’s kindy at Bayfield.
