The Highlanders - home and away 2021

Edinburgh is the official real estate partner and proud supporter of the Highlanders. We can’t wait to see how the boys go this year, with a more experienced squad and two Super Rugby competitions lined up for 2021, Aotearoa and Trans-Tasman.

Sky Super Rugby Aotearoa gets under way on 26 February, with the Highlanders playing defending champs Crusaders at the Forsyth Barr Stadium. It’s their first game of ten in this the second year of the series and a great opportunity to show up and show your support for our guys. Catch their next home game in March, with two more down for April.

The Super Rugby Trans-Tasman competition kicks off Friday, 14 May with the Highlanders playing the Queensland Reds in Dunedin. Travel-bubble allowing, New Zealand’s five clubs will travel and host games against the Reds, NSW Waratahs, Brumbies, Melbourne Rebels and Western Force. The Highlanders have one more home game scheduled in the five-week competition - hosting the Waratahs 5 June in round four.

If, like us, you’re excited to see the Highlanders in action locally before they hit the stadium, Alexandra is the place to be. On Friday evening, 19 February, Molyneux Park hosts the preseason match against the Hurricanes. It’s the second of two preseason matches, with the first the week before playing the Crusaders in Temuka, two weeks before the teams’ Super Rugby Aotearoa opening clash in Dunedin.

To have such an exciting line-up of live sport in these uncertain times is something to really appreciate. We look forward to once again supporting the Highlanders in 2021 and wish them all the best for the upcoming competitions.
