Edinburgh Realty Premier Art Awards 2018

The Awards exhibition is the perfect opportunity to take in some exceptional art and to even take some home with you. With a prize pool of $8,000, this year’s show promises a wealth of talent. Opening this Saturday, 4 August, it is hosted by the Otago Art Society, upstairs in the Dunedin Railway Station.

All 205 artworks on display will be available for purchase, at prices ranging from $60 to $10,000. The exhibition runs until 2 September, but be in early if you’re keen to put a red dot next to your selection. You can also exercise your inner art critic by voting for your favourite in the People’s Choice category.

The official judge for 2018 is international award winning artist Anita DeSoto. While Anita calls Waitati home, she has earned recognition for her contribution to New Zealand art with residencies in Leipzig and San Francisco and is currently the William Hodges fellow for Southland. Anita has had the difficult task of selecting the overall winners.

The exhibition is open daily 10am – 4pm, with gold coin entry.
