What’s on this June in Otago

This month, enjoy a relaxing King’s Birthday weekend, catch a show or two, support some wonderful community fundraisers, celebrate winter solstice and check out a new career.

Have a laugh this Saturday with award-winning comedian Chris Parker. You can catch the ‘people’s princess of New Zealand’ in his brand-new show ‘Lots of Love’ at the Dunedin Town Hall.

On 18 June, support the Breast Cancer Foundation and have a lovely brunch with friends at the St Clair Golf Course Pink Ribbon fundraiser. Tickets include brunch, coffee and a glass of bubbles, with lots of fun.

The shortest day of the year brings Octacan as we help restock Dunedin’s busiest food bank. Pop your food cans into our Edinburgh office, donate online or add your cans directly on 22 June to the Matariki food can cluster in the lower Octagon.

Wrap up warm and celebrate solstice at The Dunedin Midwinter Carnival on 23 and 24 June. Get your tickets to this magical storybook festival of lanterns and live entertainment as ‘The Enchanted Forest’ comes to life at First Church.

On 28 June, take a look at the 2023 NZ Careers Expo at the Dunedin Town Hall. It’s a great chance for young Otago people to chat directly with employers and explore opportunities for training and work.

Finally, wrap up June with a warm welcome for platinum selling New Zealand artist Mitch James. Be quick to get your tickets for Mitch’s first ever global headline tour - ‘The Long Road Home’ - hitting Dunedin on 29 June at the Glenroy.
