Concert announcement highlights need for short stay accommodation

If any single recent event highlighted the need for short stay accommodation options to compliment our limited motel and hotel beds and also to provide affordable options for larger groups looking to take a break in Dunedin, it was The Eagles concert announcement. Our available properties were fully-booked before 7am on the day of the announcement and we still have a list of guests seeking beds for 1-2 March 2019.

Dunedin’s graduations, sporting tournaments and events, Masters Games and concerts place frequent strain on our traditional accommodation providers. Simply put, we have a shortage of beds in Dunedin on a regular basis. Our Hospital rebuild will only magnify this shortage.
