2021 in review + Christmas hours

What a year for the real estate industry, with record median house prices across all regions of New Zealand - and Dunedin leading the way.

We have worked hard for our vendors in 2021. We are proud of our agents from all of our sales teams: Residential, Investment, Commercial, and Lifestyle & Rural. The market remains strong and we look forward to talking with you about how we can best help you sell your property in 2022.

Edinburgh Property Management has also seen a very busy year. Our team has worked well to handle the Healthy Homes legislation. Tired of new and ongoing compliance issues, an area we specialise in, a large number of new owners also brought their properties on board with us this year. The high demand for rental properties continues, producing excellent returns for our owners.

Edinburgh Short Stays had another Covid setback but has bounced back well with high occupancy rates and excellent customer feedback. We expect to see a further increase in bookings as restrictions lift.

This year, our sporting and cultural partnerships remain more important than ever. After last year’s disappointing Covid cancellation, the Edinburgh Realty Premier Art Awards - conducted with the Otago Art Society - were back for 2021 and hugely popular. We are also excited to be involved with many sports clubs throughout Otago and to continue our strong partnership with the Highlanders.

On behalf of all the Edinburgh Realty team, travel safe this festive break and enjoy a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Thank you for your support in 2021.
