Our Biggest Launch Yet

The property management side of the office has been anything but quiet lately. While the phones are ringing, emails are flying, and our team is constantly on the move across North Dunedin conducting viewings, there's one shared goal keeping everyone busy helping students secure their flat for 2027.

This year's Get A Room campaign has officially launched, and it's our biggest and most exciting campaign yet.

Inspired by the iconic broken surfboard flat sign on one of our Leith Street properties, affectionately known as "The Corner Store," this year's campaign embraces a fun retro beach theme. The fresh branding has given the campaign a memorable identity that stands out both online and around campus while capturing the spirit of the Dunedin student experience.

This year's campaign kicked off in style with our first-ever Priority Access Event, a brand-new initiative designed to give students a head start on securing their 2027 flat. Months of planning went into creating an event where students could start their flat search in a relaxed, welcoming environment while connecting directly with our team. Despite the wet weather, the event was a huge success, with students enjoying complimentary coffee and churros, winning prizes, exploring available properties, and booking viewings before the public launch. The momentum generated on the day carried straight into the first week of student letting season, with our team scheduling an impressive 139 property viewings. It was a fantastic start to what is shaping up to be another busy year.

 

Behind the scenes, an enormous amount of planning goes into Get A Room each year. From designing campaign branding and producing marketing material to photographing properties, coordinating inspections, managing enquiries, and scheduling hundreds of viewings, it's a true team effort.

Our dedicated student web page makes the process as easy as possible, allowing students to browse available properties, filter by price and bedroom numbers, book viewings online, and submit applications quickly. For property owners, this streamlined process means enquiries are converted into applications faster, helping to minimise vacancy periods.

The launch is supported by:

  • A three-week billboard campaign across North Dunedin.
  • More than 3,000 printed flat lists distributed throughout halls of residence, local cafés, businesses, and student events.
  • Dedicated student flat page on our website.
  • Student competitions and giveaways.
  • Targeted Facebook advertising through our dedicated student page.
